These corrupt acts cost taxpayers millions of rands. Also they negatively effect the reputation of the country.

When I applied for my son's ID I was told to go to the Eastern Cape. The reason? Because he was born there.

What am I supposed to do when other people have South African IDs yet they were not even born in the country?

Do I, or my son, have to resort to holding a Home Affairs staff member hostage with toy guns because of inefficient work?

What do I do when I find that I am married to a foreigner a week after reporting my ID lost?

Mapisa-Nqakula must get her act together and do something about these corrupt employees.

The problems caused by her department generally affect black people. Home Affairs' officials should be taught to respect the laws of South Africa. Failure should result in dismissal. Many unemployed young people would love to do a perfect job.
