Best of both worlds on this farm

Don't believe the cliche that it is not possible to have the best of both worlds. It is.

Witkoppie farm, a panoramic patch of calm country living less than an hour's drive from the frenetic, business buzz of Johannesburg, will go to the highest bidder at a multi-function auction on Thursday.

Situated in Slangfontein, near Henley-on-Klip, this typical South African horse farm with well-maintained infrastructure offers peace and quiet without being too far from the amenities of Africa's economic powerhouse.

"It's quaint, tranquil and beautiful. It simply defies description," said Aucor Tshwane director Ben Kruger.

"Aucor sells numerous properties, but from time to time we almost feel as if we should hang on to some of them. Witkoppie is just such a place."

Apart from the property with its large and spacious homestead, Aucor will also dispose of several vehicles and farm implements on the same day.

These include trucks, trailers, earth removal machinery, bakkies and machinery to help you work the land.

The auction on November 9 starts at 10.30am and a R10000 refundable deposit secures a bidder's card. A successful bid on the property will require a 21,4percent deposit of the purchase price.

For more info phone Aucor's call centre on 086-128-2846 or visit www.aucor.com.
