Phumzile "Hot Chocolate" Matyhila was too hot to handle at Wembley Arena last Friday night when he destroyed Charit Mukondeleli in one round.

Matyhila, the yet to be defeated former Olympian from Eastern Cape, poleaxed Mukondeleli with a furious four-punch combination.

Mukondeleli, who hit the canvass with his face, got up after a count of eight. He came under a barrage of blows which forced referee Andrew Smale to intervene in 2minutes and 36seconds.

Matyhila, whose skills are honed in Gauteng by Nick Durandt, added his ninth short-route win in 13 victories while Mukondeleli suffered his sixth defeat against five victories.

Meanwhile, Gabonese Stephen Nzuemba bulldozed his way to a points win against Namibian Wilberforce Shihepo.

Their fight was an uninspiring affair. They were both clumsy but Shihepo was even worse. Their fight became a bloody battle after an accidental clash of heads which left them both with nasty cuts.

The bouts formed part of a Branco Sports Production programme at Wembley Arena, south of Johannesburg.
