Walter Matunda, chairman of the Boksburg Correctional Services Athletic Club, is confident that their next race will be better organised.

He was commenting on their inaugural 10km road race in Boksburg last weekend.

"I was quite happy that the race materialised but unimpressed with the attendance," said Matunda. "We are going to start preparing for the next one early next year to make sure that it attracts more runners."

Vosloorus athletes Hector Mahlangu and Jane Pooe won the men's and women's sections. Mahlangu, of Mr Price, clocked 32min: 46secs, while the Gauteng Striders' Pooe clocked 40 minutes.
