On Monday morning South Africa woke up to the sad news of the untimely passing of our own pop diva, Lebo Mathosa.
It is very sad and unbearable that such a young and talented singer died so tragically.
Mathosa has been an inspiration to our young children who have looked up to her for guidance, support and advice. She was hero worshipped in most, if not all, quarters.
Mathosa, through her talent in music and drama, contributed a lot to the social upliftment of this country. We will miss her.
I also want to appeal to all our young celebrities to find some time to relax and chill out a bit with friends.
The festive season is approaching and accidents will be the order of the day.
Some will result because of fatigue and others because of drug and substance abuse.
Unroadworthy vehicles, intolerant drivers, bad road conditions, irresponsible use of cellphones and music that is too loud in the car are all factors that contribute to accidents.
This is the time to act responsibly and adhere to all the rules of the road.
My heart goes out to the Mathosa family, friends and the entire music industry and artistic fraternity.
We will miss Lebo Mathosa's unique brand of entertainment.
Robala ka kgotso Lebza, we will always remember you.
