Seshego Raiders might have started their campaign on a disappointing note this season, but their catcher, Sekgokolo "Winza" Ramoroka, is positive that they will surprise many teams.

"We have started to click as a team and all the players have regained their confidence and are prepared to keep the momentum at the team," Romoroka said.

He was speaking after their 4-2 win over Seshego Cannons in their Limpopo Softball Association LimDev Super League clash at Seshego diamonds on Sunday.

Raiders played with purpose and Mohlatlego Raphasha got the ball rolling for them with a home run in the first innings.

Joseph "Chief" Motladi, Cannons' spokesman, said losing two matches on the day has not dampened their spirits.

"We did not play well on the day, but we are going to rectify our mistakes at training," he said.

Cannons, alias the Destroyers, were destroyed 9-2 by title chasers Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts in their opening match.

The match between Wildbeasts and neighbours Mamaolo Rebels was abandoned in the fourth innings after Rebels complained about some of the decisions of umpire Sipho Mothobuka.

Wildbeasts were leading 4-0 when the match was stopped.

Rebels had earlier trounced University of Limpopo 7-2. Moletlane Texas walloped Mashite Eagles 12-5 and beat Mmotong Lions 7-2 in other matches played in Seshego.
