Philippine family has 5 housemaids!

The Philippines was Asia's fastest-growing economy in the first three months of this year, but not all of the population has benefited equally from the boom.

In recent years the rich have been enjoying significantly faster growth in income compared with people from middle and low income classes, according to an article by the Secretary General of the country's National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB).

The Philippines poverty rate was running close to 28 percent in the first half of 2012 - a figure the current government wants to cut by nearly half.

What do people need 5 maids for?
If one is so rich to afford it, why not?
These pictures are really sad, nothing angers me more when I drive in Mpumalanga where I see children with containers on wheelbarrows having to walk so far to get water for the house and our government is stealing billions from the people. This is on the road to our Kruger Park, a world renowned destination.

No need to go so far away to metro manila to see the gap between the rich and the poor. Just go the around malboro and see the very contrasting circumstance within a 5 km radius.

On one hand it's the poorest of the poor in Alexandra, with no shelter and no food to eat. On the other hand is the richest of the rich in Sandton, who throw away food they never even ate.
