Volcano ash disrupts New Zealand flights

A volcanic eruption at New Zealand's Mount Tongariro spewed out an ash cloud 20,000 feet (6,100 metres) high, disrupting flights and closing highways, officials said.

Shredder: It's not as bad as is being made out here. I got an email from my boet in Auckland and he reckons apart from people wearing face masks for the ash, things are pretty normal.

some seriouse earth quakes over the last 2-3 years and now a volcano?, eish hope the trout fishing dont get affected as i still plan to go catch me a lunker salmo trutta (hopefully above 10lb) on the north island of this unpredictable land.
