A Moscow court ordered on Friday that three young female members of the Pussy Riot punk group on trial for staging an anti-Vladimir Putin concert in Moscow’s best known church should stay in jail until January.

The Khamovnichesky court ruled that the pre-trial detention of the trio — who have been under arrest since March — should be extended for another six months, satisfying a prosecution request.
