i will never understand how these studies are done. do they take two people and give them medication then ask them to have sex? and then test them and if found to have cotracted the desease then what? and what about their real partners do thay allow them to have sex with other people for the good of mankind?

Tests on healthy people who take anti-retroviral drugs in order to prevent getting the virus during sex with HIV-infected partners

They do work, but cannot be trusted as THE safest method for HIV prevention. The problem is the side effects.

I am sure there is a cure for HIV, Pharmaceutical companies are just milking the profits from ARV sales. If this problem was in great numbers in so called developed countries, the cure would have been released already.

I was wondering the same thing. I am starting to think that the doctors are the ones giving the stats of the patients. For example if you get exposed to HIV and he prescribes something and asks you to come back after a certain period for the blood tests. Maybe they take the data on how many people the pills worked and on how many they did not work. Only a thought.
