I don't buy into this religious stuff but surely common sense should take precedence over 'faith'. especially if it is a one way conversation with what ever diety you worship.
the snake does not believe in your god, and has nothing to gain by doing so. and if you mess with it, it will do what snakes do best. bite your a$$ with the quickness.
