A Porsche driver might have thought he was impressing a car full of motorists that he overtook at 139 kilometres per hour in a 50km/hour zone — except for the fact that they were police officers
The vehicle that the Porsche driver whizzed past, in the northern German city of Hamburg, turned out to be an unmarked police car. He was promptly arrested and had his driver’s license confiscated.
Police reported Thursday that the plainclothes officers were at a red light when the Porsche raced past them. They eventually clocked his speed at 139 kilometres per hour, in a 50-kilometre-per-hour zone.
When they arrested the driver, 23, they found he was in a borrowed car and had only had his license for three months.
He has lost his driving privileges for a year and has to pay a fine equivalent to one month’s salary.

the magistrate should sentence him to drive a TATA for a year, it will tame his wild driving habits.Report Abuse
