SINUDEITY DO YOU KNOW THE BIOGRAPHY OF LIBIYA BEFORE GADDAFI AND AFTER GADDAFI BEACME A LEADER, ONLY 25% YOUTH HAD DEGREE BUT AT LEATS 75% HAD DEGREE AFTER HE BECAME A LEADER. WHEN YOU MARRY A LYBIAN YOU GET 60 000 US DOLLARS AND A THREE BEDROOM FLAT TO START A LIFE. THE WHERE NO BANK CHARGES IN LYBIA. PETROL WAS 69 CENT PER LITTER BECAUSE THEY MINED THEIR OIL AND REFINED IT FOR THEMSELF INTO PETROL DIESEL AND USABLE OIL FOR THEIR OWN AND REFUSED TO TRADE FOR THE AMERICANS. THEY CONTRUCTED THOUSAND KILLOMETER LONG PIPE TO PROVIDE WATER AS YOU KNOW LYBIA IS DOMINATED BY DESERT, THEN YOU CALL HIM A DICTATOR? THEY JUST DIDNT LIKE THE FACT THAT HE STAYED A LEADER FOR TOO LONG AND HE WAS JUST SCARED THEY WILL SELL THE COUNTRY TO AMERICA JUST LIKE US. WE MAKE 60% OF THE FUEL USED IN SOUTH AFRICA FROM OUR SASOL COAL OPERATION BUT OUR FUEL PRICE IS VERY HIGH BECAUSE WE BUY IT AS AN IMPORT FROM OMEGA9 AMERICAN AND BRITISH GOVERNEMENT OENED COMPANY) USE YOU INTERNET AND SEE THE REAL WORD. THE POWER OF ILLUMINATI IS TOO MUCH BROTHER.

TANTALIZA - Libya has oil, and a tiny population. The people could have been afforded FAR MORE, but gaddafi stole most of it from the country. He was considered one of the richest people in the world, from money he stole from his own country, and countrymen.

His own people celebrated his death. They dont care about your opinion on their dead dictator.

Noted Shredder, my bad bro. @Sinudeity so what do you have to say about our resources benefiding the westerns? Maybe you one of the rich and previllaged that you dont even feel the fuel hike? It pains me everyday when we mine this platinum know our people are not realy gonna benefit that much. Untill we agree on black supremecy and stop pointing out the bad people have done instead of looking for their good doings as if we perfect, this country will never go anywhere.

TANTALIZA - Of course we are benefiting from the mines. HALF of the income derived from the mining companies go towards TAXES.

Of course I dont like the fact that we have very few SOUTH AFRICAN mining companies compared to Australian and British mining companies.

Would rather keep the 'money in the family' so to speak. But the problem lies not with the British or the Australians, it lies with South Africans. Why dont we start more mining companies?

As it stands now, we are generating a trillion rand annual tax budget, because of the mines, the actual figure would have been far less were it not for the mining companies.

Would we be able to afford paying grants for 18 million people otherwise?

TANTALIZA - Back to Libya, when you get married, the government pays you $60,000 US. Well, did you know, that if you took all the oil income from Libya, and distributed it between the people, then every single person would have received R1,250,000.

Meanwhile, 20% of government officials were SPYING on the rest of their countrymen. If you didnt agree with Gaddafi or the government, you would be assassinated.

Gaddafi is dead, and the people of Libya are far better off for it.

You mean an incompetent black woman, who does not even qualify to take over such a position, I dont think its rite to just get a black woman for the sake of having a black woman as CEO. it will be great if she is qualified, has the experience, is not looking into enriching herself and being corrupt, as is the norm with most black people, I dont mean that other non black south africans are not corrupt, but SA blacks are notorious for it.

Job well done Cynthia. You managed to maintain Anglo as a leading platinum producer. We survived a recession. Low producing shafts such as Brakspruit and Turfontein are still running due to your enginuity. The rest of the knuckleheads who are commenting and know nothing about mining, avoid bein a Malema just keep quite. And let us Mine Engineers comment on what we know.

My brother mines only contribute about 8% of the GDP, so this nonsense of your about mines playing a big role on the fiscus is false, but just a blind support for your western countries. if they want to leave they can gladly do so, but 24hrs after doing so there will investors n operations as usual.
