The daughter of the judge appointed by MTN to head a "fiercely independent" committee of inquiry into company bribery allegations in Iran used to work for the JSE-listed company.

I really can't see how is this minor issues going to have any impact on the investigations. Besides, Hoffman is not the only member of the investigation team. People are desperate for news that might seem controversial.

My question still remains - How much did Turkcell pay Kilowan to testify for them, he is not doing this out of the goodness of his heart, what is done in the dark will be revealed.

I still can't understand why Kilowan paid Salojee out of his own pocket. Why didn't he let Phuthuma or Charnley do it from their own because Kilowan wasn't even an executive then, he was just a consultant and a deal broker of some glorified sort. I think he got some form of vested interest in the bribe. He probably expected some kickback from Salojee.
