Wow. I heard on the radio yesterday that Malema offered to come and give a speech. Most of the strike leaders had no idea he was coming while others said that he wanted to come and give a speech. South Africans are hurting and angry at each other, it is all about power, we are a power hungry human beings, the Mine Issue should have been solved long before loss of lives, but because we dont care about those who are not close to us, this happened, therafter we all want to be seen as assisting the miners, we want to be heros, instead of letting the two Unions sort their differences and approach the mine management in a civil way. We are so thirsty for power and yet we know nothing about Leadership.

Personally i think the Lonmin Management is politely extending the olive branch to miners. First their strke is illegal, and they have retorted to ambush non striking miners and it has been far too long the strike .

So, though the R1500 is nuthing, i guess is better than nothing. I know they are not going to get their wau of R12500, never in a blue sky. COSATU , SADTU,NEHAWU<NUM<NUMSA,SATAWU,SAMU , etc unions had never got a douuble figure increase they must just forget it. I think the right solution is for them to negotiate a reasonable salary of +/- R 5500 to R 6200 , and sign an agreement that says, Lonmin will in future give every miner a performance bonus of R1500 every six months, depending on the profit gained by the mine in that interval period.

This is the day light bribery and it shows you they failed to solve workers problems.Workers need R12500 and offer is 21%.R12500 diferences R4000 is R8500.00 which means the lonmin is offering R850 instead of R8,500.There is wage problems accross the country and question why?South Africa doesn't promote its current employees and it doesn't release pensioners.To solve the problems here is an advice.South Africa must promote its employees each and every five years.Example, admin officer has got five open notches which means is gonna get an encrease of annual salary which is notch plus general increament accross the board.Do you think employees can strike getting double increament?South Africa need skill employers.You release employees with highest salary and employ with lowest salary.The country benefit out of this wheel.Today the baboon keep on saying,we don't have as if you are running a spaza shop.

This whole situation is a mess. I fully understand miners needing a living wage. So do most of us. But on the otherhand, it might lead to retrenchments in the sector to meet the salary demand. So now what? Also, although their demands are justifiable to them (the miners), we understand that, but what about the economic impact on the country. Do they realise their actions can cost millions of job losses elsewhere in the country due to the billionsof rands lost in the strike.

Decent housing and help with famililes in the area can help also improve things. But, my boss does not give a damn about my kids, home or family and if I dont like it, work somewhere else. Not nice, but that is reality.

The reality is if those miners are to be given R12,500 a month, the company will end up retrenching most of the drillers and those left behind will have to take on too much work of which we will also cry foul over again. It is a chain reaction, yes people are being ripped off but surely there should be a solution that will atleast benefit everyone

Malema needs help, you don't go around celebrating pain for your gain. The miners suffered extremely and JM is busy trying to promote himself at the miners expense. Malema have mercy these people lost their loved ones and December is approaching and these families will be hungry and you'll be braaing in Limpompo or Mozambique while the miners go to bed hungry. Have mercy and stay away from the miners. Why did you wait so long to act on the soldiers case? You are just an opportunist. Go to he.....ll boy instead of messing up other peoples lives.
