President Jacob Zuma visited Nkaneng in Wonderkop this afternoon to listen to striking workers at the Lonmin platinum mine in Marikana, North West.

Did they tell Zuma about the muti they took to protect them against the bullets they knew they would be facing , about their charge on the police, about the fact that, as the El Jazeera footage shows, it was one of them who first fired live ammunition at the police ?

Lonmin clarified that confusion, they claim drillers earn R 10,500 before incentives of R1,000; not R 4,000.
