i wish these problems with EAAB can be sorted out immediately so that the provincial offices can work.I have been sold a house,that looked like a 3bed house by a certain estate agency in cape town,when I wanted to make changes to the house by requesting a plan,I was told part of the house was never approved,so its an illegal structure that I must sort out.the agency when approached,they agree that they never did adequate research about the house,but they sold it anyway,funny?so who must pay for the compliance with municipal requirements?Conveyancers are also saying they couldn't go beyond the scope they have been given,that is to register the house with deeds office,and confirm the ownership.The house has a servitude,to acces the backyard through a driveway passing on the other side(semi detached house) but the owner of the other portion disagrees(but on the plan the portions are joined and the municipality has plans showing carports for both portions on the same place. Since 1993 I have a Fidelity Fund Certificate (Licence to operate as an Estate Agent) Nobody will believe you if you tell them how this once proud and respected organisation has gone down the drain the past 18 years. There was a time they were to useless to issue you with a “piece of paper” (the licence). ........ where were these certificates all the time ????? lying in a storeroom.
Heard this morning of an agent who emailed a query to the EAAB in January. On Monday he received a reply: "We apologise for the delay!!!!!!!!!!!! 6 months later !!!!!!!!!
In 1993 the Fidelity Fund of the EAAB had a balance of R2 billion. Can imagine where that went to. JUST WHY IS CERTAIN PEOPLE SO PRONE TO BAD SERVICE AND CORRUPTION. I want to puke if I think what has happened to this once 1st world country -Under the cANCer it has become a Banana Republic of note. Efrika???????? Eish
