We overspend on funerals

SOUTH Africans are spending far too much money on funerals, the Financial Services Board has said.

The board has teamed up with the South African Council of Churches to take a financial education campaign to as many people as possible.

The FSB's Tshidi Dube said: "Spending money you cannot afford or getting into debt is no way to honour the dead".
