Sowetan le ngola masepa.
The heading says "he was angry because he did not have a job, a party official said" then you say Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said "he could not confirm that the man was upset with the ANC because he did not have a job".
At the first place how could he go to lethuli if he's not one of your party members that Anc official is a liar, who knows may be one of them took the man's wife?

Young man, I understand your anger and frustrations but you cannot blame the ANC, apartheid or poor background for not having finished your schooling. In fact these three things I have just mentioned should be motivation enough for you to complete school. I do not know your circumstances but there are other avenues you could have pursued before stooping so low. Today there are many 'no fee' high schools you can attend to complete Matric (in fact the SA Schools Act says no principal is allowed to dismiss you if you cannot afford school fees). You could have even approached local businessmen personally to assist with school fees. After Matric you could have applied for a bursary to study further or taken advantage of the many learnerships being offered by state departments and the private sector. As for poverty, take it from me, it motivated me to study even harder because I wanted to escape from it. (Note: Studying harder means you get good marks and good marks translate to better study opportunities in the form of bursaries, etc). Of course situations differ, yours could be different. But please stop making excuses, dust yourself off, knock on doors, persist, remember change starts in the mind. One thing I learnt about life is that there are many people willing to assist, but an effort to ask for help has to come from you. Good luck!

RobinH, why must you & your clique make everything political, since when do we have to condone lawlessness. The YL in the WC is promising to make it ungovernable if Zille does not meet their demands, are we suppose to be happy about lawlessness when things don`t go our way. People need to know that, just bcoz you have a k a k degree in sweepology does not mean you will get a job becoz companies use cheap labour for that profession. This guy must face the law & end up with a criminal record & see if he will ever work again. People also need to be creative, look what is the demand of the market in the country at the moment but you get people still doing teaching and then complain when they don`t get work.

Skhokho: With respect, nowhere do I condone what he did. I made what I considered a humourous remark. And agin, with respect, in South Africa today, almost everything is poplitical. And since when am I part of a clique? I align myself with no-one, ever. I thought you would have recognised that by now. Let's face it, the incident is layered with ironies. I simply remarked on that. I trust that I am allowed to do this?

Phunya: Thanks so much. One learns something new every day.

much appreciateted your advice however completing Gr12 and going to university is not the only option, thats where we bla.ck professionals are misleading the society. Not evrybody is a material for tertiary institutions please guys as bla.ck professionals lets play a key role in supporting disadvantage communities.

My point is, with Gr10 you qualify to go to FET to learn bricklaying, welding, plumbing, electricity etc the registration at FET if I remember well is R500 for 6 months causes I mentioned above

The ANC led government have no idea how angry citizen are, it might sound like a joke that
only one person tried to smash a glass. If our leaders continue to fight for power, it will
accumulate 2000 people and Lithuli house will burn. The mighty elephant will fall and there is
none to blame but themselves. I doubt they will even serve the poor, the ANC just need prayers.

With my degree and currently studying my Bcom honours i know the feeling of bieng unemployed, Our goverment is failling us,i have a sister who is paid grant of 500r every month because she has two kids what about me who have studied very hard to get my degree i dont earn anything from government, i sell tomatoes and onions door to door so that i can survive while someone who is always at home is not worried about the future is earning something, these is frustrating because i am not sure about my future anymore.why should our government offer grants to those who are 18 years they dont go to school they are not worried about anything because government is providing for them to buy jeans play cards.
