Brickz sentenced to 15 years in prison

Popular musician, Brickz has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The popular musician was found guilty of raping a 17-year-old at his home in 2013 .

Magistrate John Baloyi said that he felt 15 years imprisonment was appropriate as Brickz had not shown any remorse.

He said that by deciding not to testify, Brickz did not take the court into his confidence.

Baloyi said that Brickz does not feel guilty about what he did despite evidence which shows that the victim was emotionally and psychologically affected by the incident. Even though the evidence showed that the victim cried every time she thought about it to a point that she wanted to commit suicide.

Because Brickz did not show remorse, he is therefore not a suitable candidate for rehab.
