Drug dealers 'discharge' more than 100 bullets of cocaine

Two men who flew to Johannesburg from Brazil have appeared in court for smuggling cocaine.

Mandala Pitshou Mando (42) and Joao Kenge Pendro (38) were arrested at OR Tambo International Airport late last month.

They made their second appearance in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on Friday when they were remanded in custody without bail‚ and will appear again on April 31 to allow for further investigation.

During their first appearance on March 28‚ the court heard the men were ‘discharging’ bullets of cocaine.

By Friday‚ police had recovered more than 50 bullets from each man.

Whether more drugs are yet to emerge is unclear‚ and the court has not yet heard the estimated value.

Both were charged with dealing in drugs.
