Memorial service for Joe Mafela to be held in Joburg on Thursday

A memorial service for veteran actor Joe Mafela will be held at the Mandela Theatre in Newtown‚ Johannesburg on Thursday morning‚ the star’s family has confirmed to TshisaLIVE.

Family spokesperson Milly Mulelu said that the memorial will start at 10am.

Hundreds of friends and fans are expected to fill the theatre to pay tribute to the Is Good‚ Is Nice actor‚ who died in a car accident on Saturday evening.

The family said funeral arrangements have not yet been finalised.

A bakkie collided with Joe’s Ford Figo at around 10pm on Saturday. The star was declared dead by paramedics on the scene and a case of culpable homicide was opened.
