Pretoria mob accosts man‚ foreigners threaten to fight back

A Pretoria student is filming rising tensions between foreigners and a mob hassling people in the street.

Lindokuhle Xulu‚ a Journalism student at TUT‚ is following the mob that is travelling by foot and in vehicles‚ as well as observing a growing number of foreigners who are gathering together for safety — and vowing to defend themselves.

It is wrong to label all foreigners drug dealers - President ZumaWhen ambulances cannot even enter the township to fetch sick people to take them to hospital‚ you know there is something badly wrong: President Jacob Zuma on Friday spoke out against general lawlessness‚ as well as threats of violence and intimidation against foreigners. 

His filming is showing a man having to produce his ID after he got a beating from the mob‚ the attempt by police to calm the situation‚ as well as the tension being experienced in the area between the two groups.
