Foreigner attempts to retaliate during Tshwane protest but is stopped

A group of Somalis just attempted to attack a South African. However‚ Dr Muhamed Abdulah‚ chairman of the Somali community in SA‚ stepped in and stopped the crowd from attacking him.

“Today is very tense. It is chaos for our people. We can see the situation is not good‚ ” he said.

Abdulah said as a leader of the community‚ he had to step in and help the man.

“As a leader in this community I had to help. He is also part of us. Even I got shot with a rubber bullet‚” he said.

Police fired rubber bullets at the crowd who attacked the South African‚ and he ran away the moment the crowd got dispersed.

Abdulah said they do not receive any protection from the police when they get attacked.
