A teenage schoolgirl was struck by a train and killed at a station in Ballito‚ north of Durban on Friday.
“The 14-year-old was walking to school at the time of the accident‚” said Athlenda Mathe‚ Netcare 911 spokesman.
A team of paramedics attended to the girl and took her to a nearby hospital. She died at the hospital’s trauma unit‚ said Mathe.
