The University of South Africa (Unisa) will on Monday announce an agreement that will “give effect to its decision to insource outsourced services”.
The university said that it had‚ in December last year‚ established a multi-stakeholder task team (MSTT) to come up with a “mutually beneficial proposal that addresses both the needs of the affected workers and the sustainability of the university”.
“After months of constructive engagement‚ the MSTT reached agreement‚” it said.
The executive committee of Unisa’s Council approved the submission at a sitting on October 19‚ and this will be officially signed and its contents announced on Monday. – TMG Digital
