Just two weeks after Cassper Nyovest became the first South African rapper to perform on popular US radio show Sway In The Morning‚ AKA is set to follow suit.

The Levels rapper on Tuesday night revealed that he will appear on the show on Wednesday afternoon (South African time).

Teasing a big announcement earlier in the evening‚ AKA eventually let the cat out of the bag with an excited tweet just before 11pm on Tuesday.

AKA may be hoping that his appearance on the show will go a little smoother than Casspers.

Although fans largely hailed Cassper’s appearance‚ it caused some controversy on social media after the rapper called himself the “Kanye West of South Africa” and suggested that he would love to be American.

His comments drew criticism from fans‚ including by musician Ntsiki Mazwai who said that his interview left her ashamed to be called South African.
