More debris of missing plane found in Africa: Malaysian airline

Australian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Darren Chester said on Thursday that three new pieces of debris—two found in Mauritius and one in Mozambique—had been found in connection with the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370.

“The Malaysian Government is yet to take custody of the items‚ however as with previous items‚ Malaysian officials are arranging collection and it is expected the items will be brought to Australia for examination‚” Chester said in a statement posted on an official government website on Thursday.

“These items of debris are of interest and will be examined by experts‚” he said.

The passenger jet vanished in March 2014 during a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing carrying 239 passengers and crew.

More than 105‚000 square kilometres of the 120‚000 square kilometre search zone in the southern Indian Ocean have been completed.
