THIS photo of a woman in a tinsy winsy strappy swimwear in the colours of the ANC caused a short-lived social media storm.

It was posted by the ANC Johannesburg region asking its followers what their thoughts were about the “new ANC swimwear”.

It was ostensibly also aimed at encouraging voter registration ahead of the local government elections. It was soon deleted and an apology sent: “Comrades we apologise for the tweet we posted earlier it was inappropriate.”
