Music producer ‘DJ Cleo’, real name Tlou Cleopas Monyepao has lost his father.
64-year-old Samuel Monyepao died on Saturday following a battle with diabetes.
Monyepao had his leg amputated in 2014 due to the disease.
DJ Cleo and his father were reportedly in the process of repairing their tumultuous relationship following a public fallout in which Monyepao accused his son of neglecting him.
“He left us a happy man. I’m at peace with the progress we’d made, it’s a dark tome for the family and we’d really appreciate time and space to mourn,” DJ Cleo told Sowetan LIVE.
‘DJ Cleo’ has cancelled all his shows and interviews for the week as he focuses on the funeral arrangements.
