Prince Harry kicks off SA tour

Prince Harry’s Lesotho/South Africa trip kicked off on Thursday in Lesotho on behalf of Sentabale, the charity he co-founded with Prince Seeiso to assist Lesotho's vulnerable children.

HRH will attend the official opening of the new Mamohato Children’s centre on his visit to Lesotho.

The Prince will also take part in the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup, which will take place for the first time on African soil, at Val de Vie Estate – a leading polo, lifestyle and residential estate set in the Western Cape.

Now in its sixth year, the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup is the largest one day charity polo event in the world, and is specifically held to raise money for Sentebale.

The rest of Prince Harry’s visit in Cape Town will include a meeting with Archbishop Desmond Tutu and a visit to a youth centre.

The rest of Prince Harry’s Lesotho/South Africa tour includes a visit to the Sharks rugby club in Durban, the Kruger National Park –where he will draw attention to the anti-poaching efforts used to protect South Africa’s endangered animals.

The trip will conclude with a visit to the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg.
