TUT exam centre set alight

Tshwane University of Technology students have burned three halls and two security cars on the Soshanguve campus‚ police said today.

No suspects have been arrested as yet‚ the SAPS said in a statement.

The university won a High Court interdict against #FeesMustFall protesters earlier this month in a bid to prevent violence and intimidation on its campuses‚ but ongoing protests have been reported over the past week resulting in the closure of the Soshanguve campus on Wednesday.

The University posted this statement on their website with regards to exams:

Examinations at all TUT’s centres, except Soshanguve Campus, continued yesterday. Examinations at the Soshanguve Campus will start as scheduled on Monday, 23 November 2015. The subjects originally scheduled for Monday will be written. As previously communicated, the exams that were cancelled from 18 to 20 November will be rescheduled for after the main examinations.
