The infamous Pastor Lesego Daniel remains adamant that people have been healed from drinking petrol and eating grass at his church.

Pastor Daniel told the Commission for the Protection of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic (CRL) that the grass and petrol he feeds to his congregants are part of the church's holy communion.

" Many people were healed from eating those flowers, from eating that grass and everything. I believe we are from different denominations here, we all have holy communion in our churches," said Pastor Daniel.

"Flower, petrol, holy communion. We are lying to the people if we say it's holy communion, it's grape juice or it's wine but we declare with our mouth that this it is the blood of Christ. So we declare upon the flower, I declared upon this and people drink and then people got healed. That's why they did not die."

The CRL chairwoman Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva said that although they did their own investigations and found that no one has died from consuming petrol and grass, the pastor must not do anything of a similar nature at the church until Parliament has made a ruling 'on this issue'.

Pastors, prophets and church leaders appeared before the commission to answer questions relating to their actions in their respective churches and to declare their finances.
