Singer/songwriter Simphiwe Dana and rapper AKA joined the Witwatersrand University students outside the medical school and marched back to the main campus with them in support of their plight yesterday.

Some students felt that the appearance of the celebs shifted the focus and overshadowed the main issue.

The students took to Twitter in protest of celebrity involvement.
