DA alleges interference in parliamentary questions

The Democratic Alliance will on Wednesday reveal what is said is “evidence of unscrupulous practices regarding the submission of questions to the executive”.

A party statement said its chief whip in Parliament‚ John Steenhuisen‚ would be addressing the media on the issue.

“Parliamentary questions are a crucial component of Parliament’s oversight mandate; continued procedural interference is compromising this mandate and can no longer be tolerated‚” the statement said.
