A 16-year-old boy sustained multiple stab wounds this morning while walking to school on Springbok Avenue in Middelburg.
When paramedics arrived outside of the boys high school they found him sitting with one of the school teachers.
Paramedics assessed the patient and found that he had sustained stab wounds to his arms and back. Paramedics treated the patient for his injuries and provided him with advanced life support interventions.
The boy was then transported Midmed Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The cause of the incident is not yet known but local authorities were alerted to the incident.
