Friends and family of Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere will have to wait a while longer to find out what happened on the day he died.

On Friday the Randburg Magistrate’s Court postponed the case against Preshalin Naidoo. Kady-Shay O’Bryan‚ a friend of Mhere’s‚ also died in the accident on January 31 this year.

The matter was postponed so that defence attorney Satch Govender could get full and proper instructions from Naidoo.

Naidoo‚ 24‚ was charged with two counts of culpable homicide.

On the day of the accident‚ Mhere‚ 26‚ and O’Bryan‚ 29‚ were on their way to OR Tambo International Airport to fly to Cape Town for the J& B Met.

The accident occurred in Bryanston in the north of Johannesburg. Mhere was driving. According to reports‚ Naidoo crashed into Mhere’s car after taking the William Nicol Drive off-ramp from the N1 and crossing over a middle island.

Mhere and O’Bryan were declared dead at the scene. Mhere’s father‚ Joseph‚ survived the accident.

Naidoo will appear in court next month.
