13 injured after taxi overturns in KZN

13 people were injured when a driver lost control of the taxi they were travelling in.

The accident occurred on the R56 in Pietermaritzburg earlier this afternoon.

Paramedics and other essential services arrived on the scene to find commuters lying on the grassy embankment and the taxi overturned.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that they had sustained minor to moderate injuries and they were transported to local hospitals for further medical attention.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations, the ER24 blog reported.

In a separate incident also in KZN a driver lost control of a motor vehicle and drove off a cliff. There were six passengers in the vehicle. The people who were injured only sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate , paramedics treated the passengers and transported them to various local hospitals including Pietermaritzburg Hospital.
