Lindiwe Mazibuko officially a Harvard graduate

Former Democratic Alliance parliamentary leader Lindiwe Mazibuko is now a Harvard University graduate.

Mazibuko abruptly quit as the official opposition member of Parliament last year when she announced that she will be heading to the Boston varsity to study Public Administration.

Congratulations have not stopped flooding in following Mazibuko’s announcement that she has passed.

She thanked her Twitter followers for the wonderful messages.

Mazibuko‚ the former Democratic Alliance parliamentary leader‚ first attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal to study a Bachelor of Music degree then moved to the University of Cape Town‚ where she obtained a BA (French‚ Classics‚ Media & Writing) in 2006 and a BA Honours (Political Communication) degree in 2007.

She says on her webpage that she got involved with the DA when she chose then leader Helen Zille as the subject for her honours dissertation. Mazibuko was elected to Parliament in 2009‚ and in 2011 was chosen as Parliamentary Leader. Zille recently handed over the party’s reins to new leader Mmusi Maimane‚ who had succeeded Mazibuko in parliament.

Here are some of Mazibuko's pictures and tweets from Harvard University.
