Annegret Raunigk gave birth to her 13th child at the ripe age of 55, now at the age of 65, she is pregnant again with quadruplets.

The soon to be retired German teacher conceived through in vitro fertilization.

Her children's ages range from 9 to 44, from five fathers and she has 7 grandchildren.

Raunigk says she decided to become pregnant again because her 9-year-old daughter wanted a younger sibling.

After multiple tries, Raunigk finally became pregnant with eggs fertilized from outside of Germany .

Raunigk was surprised when her doctor announced that she was having four babies.

Critics say that Raunigk's body, at this age, is not designed to carry a single pregnancy, let alone quadruplets. They are also concerned that she purposefully sought out a high-risk pregnancy.

The biggest risk she faces is having the babies born prematurely but her doctor is positive and finds that her pregnancy is going well.

When asked if she thought she was too old to bring up 4 babies, she replied, "How does one have to be at 65? One must apparently always fit some clichés which I find rather tiring"

The babies are due to be born in 2 months.
