Two Eskom employees have been arrested in Karen Park, Pretoria, for allegedly stealing six transformers with an estimated value of R650,000, police said on Friday.
They were arrested on Thursday around 9pm at a house in Sallie Gardens, Karen Park, following a tip-off, Captain Pinky Tsinyane said.
"It is alleged that the two suspects are employees of Eskom in one of the areas in Limpopo."
One of the suspects fled the house when he spotted the police through the window. He was stopped by a neighbour's dog while jumping into another yard.
"He was also fighting with a police official when he was arresting him."
The two, aged 38 and 32, would appear in the Pretoria North Magistrate's Court soon on charges of possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
