Celebrities disappointed by Oscar Pistorius verdict

Friends of Reeva in the celeb world expressed disappointment on Twitter this morning following Oscars five year jail sentence.

Paralympian Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to five years imprisonment for the culpable homicide killing of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

He was also sentenced to three years, suspended for five years, for firing a pistol under a table at Tasha's restaurant in Johannesburg in January 2013.

Celebrities say they can’t cope with the ‘unjust’ law that was used to finalize the Oscar Trial. They feel there has been no justice for Reeva.

“Just five years,” Sizwe Dhlomo questioned.

He also posed another question to his twitter followers asking them if they think state Lawyer Gerrie Nel will file an appeal.

Sizwe Dhlomo: Do you guys think Nel will file the appeal before or after lunch?

Still in disbelief they consider Oscars sentence light and assume that he will spend less than two years in prison.

Melanie Carmen tweeted: Incredible few months. Fascinating case. Completely disappointed in our Justice system. #OscarTrial

Model Babalwa Mneno tweeted: So of tht 5yrs Oscar mite only serve 8months in jail and d rest under home supervision!!!! Hehehe....hai sa I'm just not dealin.

Actress Letoya Makhene tweeted: #OscarTrial #Thixo The two sentences running concurrently??? He Might not even serve the full 5…

Radio and sport personality Mpho Maboi had a different view of the verdict, she expected a lesser sentence.

5 years is better than the suspended sentence I expected her to hand down..., she wrote.

“And if something like this happens to me. I call for street justice. Nim'nyise lowo sathane,” wrote Pearl Thusi.
