The 16 fired Generations actors have finally decided to lodge a complaint with the CCMA.

After long negotiations that have thus far ended in nothing but more confusion, the actors have decided to go the legal route.

The actors were fired from their jobs in August after going on wage dispute strike.

An organisation formed by the fired actors, Generations Actor’s Guild (GAG) said: “Throughout this process, we have engaged with our former employer and been clear about the fact that we are open to negotiation and discussions but were resolute in our commitment to transforming unfair industry practices. That resolve remains unshaken, and in light of our employers stance, we have now filed the issue with the CCMA.”

Cosatu has called on the viewers to boycott Generations until the actors are reinstated.

“We are grateful to COSATU, CWUSA, fellow actors and our fans for their unflinching support in this troubling time,” said GAG.
