Zuma on a diet, he should give Khulubuse the recipe he is using.

You notice how far Putana is standing. Two reasons 1. He is worried that what Zuma's got can jump. 2. He is keeping his pockets covered. Eish Black man you are truly on your own.

eish mlungu man, you are thinking with your skin so early in the morning. What makes you think that Putin is standing further? Zuma could be standing and Putin approached him for a handshake and pose. Yeses mlungu you are pathetic.

Broer I embrace you my African brother. But what does Putansky do? He stands there with a Vendalizard "smile" on his face. AT ARMS LENGTH. I tell you no lie. Trust me I am a amaBoere.

Agreed BOKKE_ Putin wants nothing to do with this fudge packing monkey, SA has nothing to offer Russia and Russia is sure as hell not giving any more handouts to failed, corrupt african Jelly Tots.

@Bokker in most public engagement the KFB Ninja always keep a distance, i think its to avoid infringing on personal space, which is really something of good manners on the KFB Ninja's part, as for SA and relationship with Russia, as Zuma doesn't read he prolly is not aware that more non white immigrants have been murdered in hate crime in Russia than any country in Europe and there's been little to no convictions for such,Zuma appears to sell SA to any potential bidder.

We are agreed on Refugee Zupta being desperate. As for Putana OK My sista have it your way. I just want to point out that you have been wrong about one or two other small things like thiEFF but for the sake of a peaceful Friday I will stand corrected.

Aug 29, 2014 12:5 | 2 replies

No Bokker I've seen pubilc engagement of this Putin guy he seldom ever come 'too' close his peers, I think its a specific Russian code, as for wrong I am wrong about a lot of things and when (a person whose judgement I trust) call me out on that, why wld it be a war? cause I see that as constructive, on the EFF ma man, desperate times call for desperate actions that's all I can say, they are not teh best in town but they sure bring crucial issues debated even at grassroots, all I want is an open, honest debate our issues which have been outstanding since 1994 because anc baasboy gov is too busy being corrupt and moonlighting as a gov, rather than solving the problem.

BTW I am more than willing to discuss with you my affiliation to the EFF at length, so you can understand what informs my decision,as I said they are not the best/perfect but they are at least trying under very desperately dangerous circumstances, whilst other politicians are chosing to self preserve.

Hoshinkulu- It called "having a back bone." We are SA not Australia, US or Britain. Our foreign policy is not drawn by these countries. Its business as usual. Don't tell me you are one of those people who run away from their friends or colleagues when they are in big doodoo just because you fear of being branded as one. You wont make a good leader my friend, just stick to following and saying "yes" to everything.

I suppose it is only fair. When the world put sanctions on South Africa, during apartheid, Russia traded with us. Just repaying the favour, I guess.

Aug 29, 2014 8:48 | 1 replies

and the bulk of the countries that put sanctions on SA were white. because of the human right issues etc. the sanctions had an enormous effect. more than the likes of the current service delivery protests. and the arms that came from Russians they are also very very white.

Anybody else notice that russia invaded ukraine yesterday?

Aug 29, 2014 8:21 | 2 replies

I think Ukraine might have noticed. They aren't the brightest bunch but that would have been a bit hard to miss

Aug 29, 2014 8:23 | 1 replies

MommaC - Not a single article about it on any South African news source.

Aug 29, 2014 8:29 | 1 replies

Our South African media are populist tabloids. Some wars are 'sexy' and others aren't. We don't hear a hell of a lot about Syria or Tibet either but, let Israel and Palestine start their shiit and it is all over the place

Aug 29, 2014 8:37 | 1 replies

MommaC - Yeah, you are right. News on malema and hofmeyer is considered far more important.

Ukraine have been invaded for sometime now, the East part of their country now belongs to Russia, anyway they should have tried to gov their country properly and prevent Russia from becoming nervous about Russia's security resulting to the take over, am not saying Russia is right am saying they were spoiling for it,

But we all know why jacob is in russia, without an agenda. He had a rough two weeks. And he knew he would lose the spytapes. Now he's in hiding in another country. Not the first time jacob fled the country to lay low while the heat fades.

Hey Sin, according to the US, Russia has been invading Ukraine every day since the doodle-necks in Washington and Brussels thought of extending North Atlantic Terrorist Organization (NATO) all the way to Russia's doorstep, same way Russia 'invaded' Georgia. Aren't the Russians 'threatening world peace' by intending to rebuild the Soviet Union, hence NATO is deploying heavy military equipment and troops in Poland, Lithuania, Moldova, Latvia etc? NATO wanted to place nuclear weapons in Crimea and kick out the Russian Naval base that has been there for over 100 yrs, the lease between Russia and Ukraine was going to expire in 2040, but the Nazis that staged a coup in Kiev wanted to sell their soul to the NATO dweebs for 2 cents. All eastern Ukraine regions are predominantly Russian speaking, their old name is Novorussia, that includes Lugansk and Donetsk regions that the Kiev coup regime is bombing daily.

JohnStone - According to everyone else in the world, Russia invaded ukraine yesterday when they rolled armored columns into the country. There is no more soviet union dude, it ended when the berlin wall fell. I just find it funny how you would shout out against isreal, but ignore ukraine. Its your typical hypocracy showing again.

Aug 29, 2014 9:10 | 0 replies

John, Welcome to the modern world. People in Ukraine were all a 'Twitter' yesterday. In fact, most of the social media formats were full of Ukrainians and their views on what was happening.

Aug 29, 2014 9:25 | 1 replies

Ukraine is a state with its defined borders, the very recent elections showed the will of the majority of the people. to roll tanks into another country is universally accepted as JUST WRONG.

@Sin, MommaC et al. The people of Ukraine are divided as we speak. The Eastern regions that are under constant bombardment are Russian-speaking regions, because the people there are Russians by blood, language and culture, same way as our Tsonga-speaking people in the North-east of our country are the same with the people in Mozambique or the Batswana in Mahikeng being the same with the people just across the border in Botswana, hence most of those Russian-speaking eastern Ukranians flee to Russia, not Kiev when attacked. When the fascist junta took over Kiev early this year, their first day in office saw the Russian language losing its status as one of the official languages. The govt of Mozambique will definitely find it hard for them to sit on their hands if Pretoria sends soldiers to Giyani or Thulamahashe to butcher and massacre Tsonga-speaking South Africans. Think about it!

Ja but this is all irrelevant to Zoemzoem, he does not understand any of that complicated geopolitical nonsense, he's there for some vodka and Russian bonhomie to escape from the stare of the Breitling revolutionary and Nkandla, where the handsome young swimming instructor who is teaching MaKhumalo is getting on his nerves as well
