Man solves theft issue by parking motorbike outside 3rd floor window

After having two motorbikes stolen in quick succession it seemed Boris Farihov, 56, from Nizhny Novgorod in Western Russia would have to give up on two-wheeled transport altogether.

He got the idea from his wife who joked that the only way to keep his bike safe was too keep it indoors.

After his second bike was stolen Boris decided to try and beat the thieves by winching his beloved motorbike up to his third floor window to lock it away safely at night

"I like to park it where I can see it," he said

The innovative Russian installed an electric motor and connected it up to a steel cable which he fixed on the wall, and now every time he needs the bike he simply presses a button and lowers it down to the ground below.

If this idea catches on in  city where motorbike theft is rife then Boris could possibly afford a lock up garage.

Let's hope he patents the idea before someone else benefits from his ingenuity.

In Japan, space is so limited that parking lots are actually high rise buildings. Sometimes 10 stories or more. They put your car on a circular carousel while a turntable revolves it to drive away....Very efficient.
