A Limpopo agriculture official accused of soliciting a bribe appeared in the Modimolle Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, the Hawks said.
Mabel Baloyi, 31, a procurement officer at the agriculture department in Modimolle, would be back in court on February 20, Captain Paul Ramaloko said.
She allegedly solicited a bribe from a prospective service provider tendering to supply the department with paper.
Baloyi was arrested on Tuesday, allegedly on her way to collect half of a R40,000 bribe.
