'Wanted murderer kills ex-girlfriend'

'She had a restraining order against him'

A woman was stabbed to death, allegedly by her former boyfriend, at her home in Kimberley early on Sunday morning, Northern Cape police said.

Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana said Kganyego Tlamelo, 30, was asleep when the man kicked down the door to gain entry.

He was apparently enraged to find her new boyfriend in the house and took out a knife.

“He stabbed her several times: in the face, neck, arm, back and in the chest,” Tawana said.

Tlamelo who had a restraining order against the knifeman, died from her injuries.

Tawana said the man was also wanted in connection with another murder, which was committed last year.
