Cele stoic about being dumped

FORMER national police commissioner Bheki Cele has been ditched by his own region following speculation that he is campaigning against President Jacob Zuma.

Cele's home region of eThekwini did not nominate him to serve on the national executive committee (NEC) at its regional general council (RGC) at the weekend.

"No one mentioned his name. He is no longer popular because there is evidence that he is campaigning against Zuma," said a leader, who asked not to be named.

But Cele has publicly denied campaigning to remove Zuma.

Cele said yesterday he had no problem with the RGC decision. "That's fine. If they didn't [nominate me] it's their right. What must I do?"

After Cele's dismissal from his government post there was talk that KwaZulu-Natal was going to lobby other provinces to accommodate him in the NEC. But after being dropped by a region he once led as chairman other regions in the province are also expected to dump him.

eThekwini regional secretary Bheki Ntshangase denied there was ever any discussion to accommodate Cele. He did not deny that Cele's omission from the list could be linked to rumours that he was opposed to Zuma.

"ANC members are not stupid. They listen [to what is said in the media] and decide as branch members. Who are we to reverse their decisions?"

you people are stressing too much about The President, you'll die very young of heart attacks, his life is swiftly in progress and all you can do is blubbering about him instead of finding better ways of removing the ruling party and putting one of your choice into power. those are politics it is the survival of the fittest.
my only wish for the removal of the ruling party is that since we voted them into power we are struggling with the most essential basic need of life! WATER, there's too much shortage of water in our country and it seems as there's nothing they can do about it. I'm not pointing finger at the indivudual but the whole party and all that are in parliament or provincial legislatures for there are those opposing everything without better ideas hulle sit maar net daar bò, hulle doen fokol, hulle vreet die geld net, hulle gee eintlik nie om met mense lewens nie. let us try to unite, stand together as members of society who do not belong to any of the political parties and remove those clowns from our parliament and select the TRUE NON RACIAL, NON SEXIST PARLIAMENT which will rule the whole S A and do away with Provinces and demarcations, I'm sure we're all tired of this senseless fights and divisions in our country, it's all up to us to let this senseless things carry on, we must put a stop at it and do it now before we forever loose our country to all these people that we're steadily being sold to by means of foreign investors/investments, business has never been run the way South Africa does, we'll end up slaves in our own country. so my fellow S As let's do something, no wonder we're facing this hardships of poverty, education, abuse in general, heatwaves etc. our grand kids would never know where they belong if we can't stand up now, this lifestyle has brought a serious division in our country, we were previously divided but not this way I didn't when they talked of democracy that they meant this way nogal all of them preach this raw democracy, the word democracy is only being abused no one knows the true meaning of the word.

I pray to God that it rains in the whole country tonight and bring happiness to our lives all for we will someday over come the dreadful deceases, find jobs, go top better schools, have enough water for ourselves and all living organisms.

Bheki Ntshangase couldn't be more wrong. Most ANC members are very stupid, and he is even more stupid not to realize that. Who in their right mind would insist on a second term for Zuma after so many scandals and poor service delivery protests? Unless ofcourse if there is something in it for them. Remember, just because he wasn't found guilty by the court of law doesn't mean he is innocent. Gone are the days when I blindly voted for the ANC, only for the party to slap me in the face by imposing a stupid councillor to lead our municipality.

I think the message here does not require translation, it's very clear!!! Advise to Cele is: do not overestimate your worth in future. Lesson to be learnt by all politicians (Particularly those in the ruling party): Do not think of yourselves more highly than you ought to!!!!
