this is a bad thing to happen to any parent but I believe that if he applied the K53 checks before driving he would have avoided this kind of a thing. It looks stupid when you do it and have been driving for years but in this case it would have saved a life. My heart honestly bleeds for him - I can only imagine the horror of facing the reality that as a parent it was you that contributed to the demise of your own child! RIP lil angel!!
But I know two year olds, man!! You give them an instruction and they hear it but still proceed with what they want to do - vigilance is needed when dealing with them - ensure that they are exactly where they need to be before driving out!

My Neighbour in Protea Glen did the same thing 2 years ago, poor little girl just followed the Father to the Car happily wanting to go with Dady and then Bang!!!!!!!!!!!!!. We learn lessons from this things, let us be more carefull each time we pull out our vehicles, slowly and gentle, check first if there is nothing under the car, cat, dog or something.

This is my nytmare also, my 3year old daughter always follows me to the car when I go out @tyms I don't even see her, but I always do check my mirrors. Us as fathers must teach our selves that daughters are always favouring us *Sorry mums* and we must be on the lookout for them when leaving the house.

it was bound to happen. the girl's time on earth was over. its not an easy thing to accept and it becomes more painful when someone gets involved. could have been better if the girl was killed by diarrhea or some illness. that way the parents could find some ease but this way someone will always feel like he was the reason for the death even though it was God's will. may the family find some acceptance and forgiveness and let the girl Rest in Peace Report Abuse

So that is why he heard it on the radio, two way radio not FM, and that is why he would not feel or hear it as the ground is to rocky. I sincerely hope that you lot will never have to go through the hell that these poor young parents and the grans are going through only to be judged by ignorant morons such as yourselves.
