DEAD: Kefilwe Seabelo was blindfolded, raped and had a sock stuffed into her mouth.

The discovery of her personal diary, which contained two unreported entries about rape, was even more devastating.

Kefilwe's naked body was discovered by her best friend, Reneilwe* after she had approached a neighbour and told them of her concerns. Kefilwe had been blindfolded, raped and had a sock stuffed into her mouth.

According to her mother, Maria Seabelo, police were alerted after Reneilwe made the gruesome discovery when she broke down the front door to gain entry to the house with the help of an elderly neighbour last Tuesday afternoon.

Kefilwe's mother said she was devastated by the discovery of her daughter's personal diary.

"The entries were in her handwriting. I am still shocked because it had the dates and where the rapes occurred. How she kept such a secret is beyond me," Seabelo said.

"My daughter had her shortcomings but she did not deserve to die like this, especially not at home where we thought it was safe. I cannot describe how I feel right now."

Seabelo said Reneilwe last saw her daughter the night before in the company of her estranged boyfriend at about 10pm.

There was a scuffle between them.

Kefilwe and Reneilwe were best friends and classmates at a primary school in Koster.

"Reneilwe told me she had a feeling that something was wrong with her friend when she did not answer her calls. After few attempts her cellphone went dead," Seabelo said.

"She told me she could not sleep that night and she was even more worried when Kefilwe did not answer her door in the morning when she came to fetch her to go to school."

Kefilwe was alone at home when she was attacked. Her mother had gone to Mahikeng for her partner's funeral.

Seabelo said she was on her way back from the funeral when she got a frantic call to hurry home.

"Nobody told me what was going on until I found my home swamped with police and neighbours."

North West police spokesman Brigadier Thulani Ngubane said the police in Koster have registered a case of murder after a 15-year-old girl from Selosesha Section was found with her face covered with a cloth, raped and murdered last Tuesday.

"It is suspected that the deceased could have been murdered on Monday night," Ngubane said. - mahlanguba @sowetan.co.za

Intimate relationships nnogal...Men should bloody stop taking advantage of young kids its just awful she couldnt even approach her parents and relied on a diary WTF? People must be encourage to talk about abuse how is a diary supposed to save one's life?

Our society is sick. Our kids are being sexualised at an early age - which is not normal. I hope they find the sicko soon - 99% sure it is someone she knew. This kid could have become a scientist or doctor which our country needs.
